Together We Can

All proceeds support the work of these incredible organizations.

our community, Alliance for vermont communities

At the root of The Ranger is it’s founding purpose and partnership with the Alliance for Vermont Communities (AVC), a nonprofit organization focused on promoting sustainable and vibrant community development that incorporates land conservation and outdoor recreation for future generations. The Ranger would not be what it is today without AVC and the amazing people who are committed to its mission. If you run across a volunteer at the event, chances are they work with AVC, so stop and give them a high five!

the next generation, Little bellas

Our Junior Ranger kids program has a mission to inspire future generations to see the fun in the noncompetitive side of riding a bike, just good old fashioned exploring. Our Ranger guides took the kids through neighboring dairy farms, covered bridges, beautiful hay fields and back roads. In 2019 we expanded our program to support the work of Little Bellas, a Vermont based organization committed to inspiring and supporting young girls riding bikes. The goal of our partnership is to increase the participation of women and girls in the sport (because we need them!), and to financially support programming and a local project that will be to the benefit of all kids in the region. A portion of the proceeds from our 2019 event went to the construction of a kids pump track at the Boston Lot Trail System in the Upper Valley.

everyone included, Vermont adaptive ski & sports

We are working with Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports to increase adaptive ridership at our event in the future and in gravel and mountain bike events throughout the state. Their work empowering individuals with disabilities is important to building a more inclusive and diverse community. In 2019 we raised enough funds toward the purchase of eight new adaptive bikes for their traveling support program. Three headed to Burlington for programming and the other five remained in Central Vermont for Killington area programs.
